Sorry if this is complicated but I have to try and cover everything because of smart alec lawyers.

If 3 rooms are to be worked on, for instance,........half the cost of room one on starting it, then the other half on finishing that room, then half cost of room 2 etc........Cash or, very occasionally, banker's drafts (cashier's cheque). Through experience this is the only way I work. I can concentrate on the job instead of money; that's been taken care of.

Priced per sq. metre. Special jobs or substantial extra work. such as replacing 5 floor boards, then add Labour per hour. Stairs cost are per 1 tread and 1 riser. No extras such as VAT etc..These are the prices you actually pay me.

My charges are per metre all-in. However, if I am doing your job and am held up by plumbers, painters, plasterers because they are running late or leaving early to do other jobs (double booking) then I charge £ 250 per day extra. So a job that should have lasted 2 days may run in to 4 days because of un-professionalism by other tradesmen. Those extra 2 days will cost you £ 500 extra.......this you must deduct from the bill of the tradesmen at fault.....you see, if there is no penalty involved then such people will do 2 or more jobs at the same time because they've got nothing to lose.....it's you and others waiting for them to finish who lose out. This way they pay for their amateurishness.

I do not fill all of the joints between the floorboards. Going and purchasing supplies you specify is not covered, such as a particular paint or type of wood, mouldings etc.. This is charged at an hourly rate as below. Lifting carpets and hardboard, this is charged hourly as below. Moving furniture, this is charged hourly as below. £25 per sq. metre. All in.

Floorsanding - Hallways. As for rooms above. As for rooms above. £50 per sq. metre. All in. Halls take twice as long to do as rooms because there is proportionately more edge work to main area work.

Floorsanding - small rooms below 10 sq. metres in size. As for rooms above. As for rooms above. £250 minimum price. Very small rooms take longer to do per sq. metre than larger rooms because of difficulties with movement.

Day Labour - Full Days. My inclusive daily rate. Specialist equipment such as Kango demolition hammers, compressors etc. needed to do the work included in the price if I own them. Materials such as screws, wood, paint etc.. £250 per day of 8 hours.

Day Labour £30 per hour. As above.. As above. £30 per hour worked. This includes waiting time if I am just sitting around waiting for a delivery that you have ordered and has not arrived. I may be able to do something else whilst waiting providing I have the equipment with me.
